A modern update of pre-Raphaelite artist John Everett Millais’ The Bridesmaid (1851). The original painting depicts a popular Victorian ritual in which the young woman passes a piece of wedding cake through her ring nine times, after which it is said that the image of her true love will appear in the mirror before her.
