Decorated tin plate with a design taken from a Sevres porcelain dish of 1766, with an intricate harebell pattern adorning the edges. The Sevres porcelain factory was established in the French town in 1756, and through the 18th and 19th centuries become the most preeminent and admired manufacturer of porcelain in Europe.
